Andrea from All About Presentation sent us some pictures of the Cake Walk from Saturday. All proceeds from the event went to the LEAF Foundation, an organization that provides support for families of children with special needs. We donated the yellow cake with ribbons on top, as well as the white sheet cake.
We’re very proud to be a part of their inaugural event and wish them much success as they continue to grow.
When it comes to Edgar Allen Poe, is their anything more iconic than a raven? For the celebration of Poe’s 199th Birthday, Rebecca Jones of the Edgar Allen Poe Museum commissioned this cake for the museum’s birthday celebration.
Here’s what she had to say:
(Alicia) was more than helpful with ideas, suggestions and ultimately a deal that we could not pass up. When we got the cake, I was stunned at how perfect it was. It was just what I was looking for! Her artistry was wonderful and the cake itself was a real treat.

This is one of my favorite cakes from the beginning, and was the cake that convinced me Alicia was really on to something. The oyster shells on top are made from white chocolate and looked absolutely perfect… all the way down to the pearls.
