Ordering, Pricing & Payment Information
Information For Placing A Cake Order
Each of our cakes is a custom creation made especially for you and requires a consultation via phone, email and or in person before we will accept your order. All orders require a 50% non refundable deposit.
Non Wedding Cakes
Because all of our cakes are made fresh, we must ask that orders for cakes be placed at least two weeks in advance. Currently we have a pretty full schedule, please inquire for availability for orders placed under the two week notice, we may be able to accommodate your order. If we are unable to fulfill your order we will provide a referral to another cake artist in our area who we have worked with previously and are confident in recommending to you for your special cake.
When inquiring about an order please provide the following to help assist us with your order:
1. Type of event. ie: Birthday, Anniversary, Shower.
2. Number of guests you will need to serve.
3. Event date and time.
4. What flavor of cake and icing you would like.
5. Any particulars to design. If you have pictures feel free to forward them over. We are able to recreate most designs.
6. Do you require delivery.
We will respond to all inquiries within 48 hours. If you require a response sooner, please send us an email via our contact page.
Wedding & Special Occasion Tiered Cakes
Because all of our cakes are made fresh, we must ask that orders for Wedding and Special Occasion cakes be placed at least one month in advance. We are currently booking approximately one year in advance for weddings, so please call to schedule a tasting consultation as soon as possible to ensure we can get your event into our schedule. Reception dates are confirmed with a deposit of 50% which is non-refundable for any reason. The remainder is due no later than four weeks prior to the confirmed date. If you have not made your final payment four weeks prior and have not made prior arrangements your cake will be removed from the baking schedule. This means you won’t have a cake.
Wedding Tasting Consultation
Tasting consultations are available and are free of charge for the bride and groom. We can accommodate tastings up to four people, a $30 fee will apply to these appointments. We will deduct this fee from the cost of your cake when you book your wedding cake with us. All of the samples for your tasting are baked fresh for your appointment. We are able to provide standard flavors for your tasting consultation. If a specialty flavor is requested an additional fee may be required which will be deducted from your cake order when you book your wedding cake with us. If you can’t make your scheduled appointment, please call as soon as possible to reschedule.
We schedule our tasting consultations two weeks in advance. Please visit our calendar to see what appointments we have available.
When it comes to design, the sky is the limit. Some designs can be achieved best buttercream icing. Other designs can be achieved best with fondant. Even if you do start with a picture of a cake from a magazine or cake design book, we can modify the design to make it your own. You shouldn’t see your cake at another wedding, because we make every effort to design a unique cake that fits your desires, style and budget.
There are a number of variables that factor into pricing. The size, design and type of cake all play a big part in determining the cost. Within reason, most cakes can be custom made to accommodate any number of guests.

Non Wedding Cakes
Specialty Cake & Cupcake Basic Delivery Fee
You’re welcome to pick up your cake free of charge, but we do offer a basic delivery service for cakes that do not require elaborate on site assembly. Within 20 miles: $25.00. 21 to 30 miles: $35.00. 31 to 40 miles: $45.00. 41 to 50 miles: $50.00. Deliveries over 50 miles will be quoted at time of order.
Miscellaneous Fees
- All tiered cakes have an equipment charge. This is the disposable system that is inside your cake holding it up, plus the english style drum on the bottom. This cost is $20 for a three tier
- cake. More tiers require more equipment and therefore are slightly higher in price.
- Fountain Rental is available for $35.00. A deposit is required.
- Cake stand rental is available for $35.00. A deposit is required.
Final payments for non tiered cakes are due upon receipt. We accept credit card deposits via PayPal, we also accept cash and check. Checks should be made to the payment of Batter Up Cake Company. There will be a $40 fee for all checks which are returned by the bank.
Wedding Cakes
- Prices are subject to change depending on complexity of design.
- Fresh flowers are an option for decoration. You can have your florist arrange them on your cake or we can arrange and add to your cake pricing dependent on quantity and type of flowers.
- IMPORTANT NOTE: Some flowers are toxic, please contact us for a list of edible flowers to discuss with your florist.
- There is no additional charge for changing flavors between tiers.
- Bow toppers are $40 (package style or dressmaker style).
- Cake topper of flowers, leaves and/or bow loops are $40 and up depending on complexity.

Despite what you see on TV, complex cakes such as multi-tiered wedding cakes are mostly assembled on site. Within 5 miles: $25 minimum. 6 to 20 miles: $35 minimum. 21 to 30 miles: $45 minimum. 31 to 40 miles: $55 minimum. 41 to 50 miles: $65 minimum. Deliveries over 50 miles will be quoted at time of booking.
