  • The Poe Museum requested a very special cake from Alicia of Batter Up Cake Company for our 199th Celebration of Poe's Birth. We wanted it to be unique, something that would make people go away from the Museum with a smile on their faces, but something that would also be delicious.

    I called Alicia with my idea of a "Raven" cake, and she was more than helpful with ideas, suggestions and ultimately a deal that we could not pass up. When we got the cake, I was stunned at how perfect it was. It was just what I was looking for! Her artistry was wonderful and the cake itself was a real treat.

    I would definitely recommend Batter Up Cake Company to anyone looking for something to make their special event memorable. The service was wonderful and the cake was, as we say here at the Poe, "To Die For"!

    I sent you an email with a couple pictures of the cake, in case you didn't get to take one for your gallery (and then one with all the candles!). I am not sure if you got the text portion of my email, my internet was acting up when I sent it. Anyway, I just wanted to say THANK YOU! The cake was a huge hit! I will definitely say something on your testimonial page so just let me know what I need to do for that.
